The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises the Catholic University of America community to expect traffic pattern changes starting from the eastside of John McCormack Drive, N.E., approximately 2,000 feet south of Bates Road, N.E., to the entrance of the Fort Totten Solid Waste Disposal Transfer Station. A new traffic pattern will be effective for John McCormack Drive and Bates Road, N.E. on or about August 2018 through October 2018, weather permitting. Work hours will be from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Curbside parking may be restricted while work is underway. Signage and protective barriers will be used to maintain public safety. Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians are urged to use caution when traveling through this area, to anticipate moderate delays, and to obey construction personnel and signage.
